Degree candidates with specialized teaching and/or research skills and experience may be eligible for fellowship appointments in teaching and/or research. Fellows receive financial aid in the form of tuition grants and/or a small stipend. Fellows should anticipate that their appointment(s) would involve an obligation of approximately 20 hours per week.
If you are interested in becoming a Friend of the University of the Holy Land (FUHL), your generous support with a tax-deductible contribution is welcome and appreciated. As a FUHL, you will provide financial support for worthy students in particular, students from Third World countries who face daunting financial challenges in their ambition to study abroad. To learn more about becoming a Friend of UHL, email connect@uhl.ac.
Additional Financial Information
The semester fee is halved for students who have completed the standard degree course requirements and have only the completion of their thesis remaining. Such students are required to be enrolled in a directed study on their thesis topic and to participate in a graduate or doctoral seminar each semester until graduation. In addition, they are eligible to take an elective course. For further information, see the Schedule of Fees.
Due to current economic trends and escalating costs, it must be anticipated that the University of the Holy Land may be required to raise its fees annually, or at least intermittently. All fee adjustments are approached with the utmost consideration for the prospective student.
All fees are payable in US dollars or Israeli shekels. Students seeking an A-2 student visa from the state of Israel through UHL are required to prepay the full academic year. Returning students are required to pay one full semester before registering or visa renewal, depending on which occurs first.
We understand that situations beyond the student’s control can occasionally necessitate early withdrawal from UHL. In such an event, tuition fees will be refunded according to the table below. All refunds are contingent upon the student’s full compliance with official withdrawal procedures.
Students with One-Year Student Visas
First month: 65% of tuition fee (for academic year)
Second month: 50% of tuition fee
Third month: 25% of tuition fee
After 90 days: No refund
Semester Students
First Week of Semester: 100%
Second week: 75%
Third week: 50%
Fourth week: 25%
After fourth week: No refund
